Abstract

This research is titled "Exploring the Relationship Between Students' Learning Styles and Self Confidence in Delivering English Presentations at SMK Merah Putih Bekasi for the 2024/2025 Academic Year" which aims to find out how students' learning styles affect their confidence levels when making English presentations. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. This study involved 15 grade XI students from SMK Merah Putih Bekasi. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, then the data is analyzed by grouping according to the set subfocus. The results of the study show that students who have a visual learning style feel more confident when using media such as slides and visual aids in presentations. On the other hand, students with an auditory learning style usually feel more confident when they practice through listening and discussing activities. Meanwhile, students who have a kinesthetic learning style show higher confidence when directly involved in role-playing or practical activities. Overall, research found that students' confidence tends to increase when their learning style is supported by the right learning methods. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between students' learning styles and their confidence in conducting English presentations. This research is expected to provide recommendations for teachers in designing appropriate teaching methods to support learning styles and increase student confidence.
